Who we are

For those who don’t know me, my name is Carolyn La Rose, a lifetime horsewoman and current breed association trainer, breeder and business owner. Like many I have seen our industry struggle with class numbers and participants and while some futurities are flourishing, many no longer exist. Hearing and participating in many conversations of “how do we get new people to come to our shows, have big classes again” etc. I have been trying to figure out a way to do just that. Bring new people into the breed show world.

Currently serving as the Vice Chairman of N.F.E.S. (North Florida Equestrian Society) a 501.c.3 who manages the Jacksonville Equestrian Center for the city of Jacksonville, I have watched the breed show numbers decrease, while the open show numbers increase throughout the years. So I thought, let’s bring a futurity to them! In partnering with the Florida All Breed Show Series and the NSBA, I’ve decided to host a small futurity in conjunction with one of the Florida All Breed Horse Show Series shows in December to try to encourage new equestrians to step up into showing at a recognized show. While the plan is to start small with a few classes, we hope the participation will help us grow.

Our Mission is to encourage growth and foster new faces and equestrians of any skill level to compete in recognized breed shows sanctioned by the NSBA, while promoting forward, correct movement of our equine partners.
